Internship program

We know how competitive the labor market can be for inexperienced young adults, who struggle to find jobs that are well-suited to their education. This is even more difficult for young adults from Israel’s social or geographic periphery.

Aluma has built bridges between the academic world and the workforce to help students gain experience during their studies by joining internship programs in which they work with organizations that choose to be “social employers” and accept students for internships of this kind.

In 2019, Aluma and the Council for Higher Education joined forces to pursue a joint project that would enable funded academic institutions to offer courses that incorporate internships.

The Edmond de Rothschild Foundation initiated the establishment of this program and funded it for many years. Today, the foundation is a partner in the program and one of its primary financers.
